AME Ring Initiative: Honoring the Engineers Behind Aviation Safety

By AMEs. For AMEs. Proudly Canadian.

The AME Ring is part of a national initiative to recognize and unite Aircraft Maintenance Engineers across Canada—the professionals who shoulder the weight of airworthiness every day, without spotlight or ceremony.

Created by working AMEs and supported by our peers in the field, this ring isn’t about status—it’s about standards. It’s a modern symbol rooted in tradition, a quiet acknowledgement of the responsibility that lives between the logbook and the toolbox.

Inspired by the Iron Ring worn by professional engineers, the AME Ring is our own emblem—built for those who turn wrenches, not just write reports.

Two Rings. One Purpose.

🔩 Damascus AME Ring

This is your formal ring. The one you wear off-duty, at ceremonies, or when representing the profession.

Handcrafted from damascus-pattern stainless steel, every ring is engraved with your AME licence number and the words “Upon My Honour.” But the materials carry deeper meaning:

is formed in layers, symbolizing the complex systems we manage—electrical, hydraulic, structural, and more. It reflects the depth and range of our trade.

wood inner band is stained red and blue. Red for the sunset—the unofficial start of the AME’s field day. Blue for the sky above—the space we help keep safe.

brass inlay in the engraving honouring the witness wire that protects critical systems. Brass marks what must not move—and reminds us of the role we play in holding the line.

stainless steel? That’s the firewall. The barrier between safety and catastrophe. Between what might happen... and what doesn't, because we’re doing our job right.

This ring isn’t for the hangar. Don’t wear it on the job. Metal rings and machinery don’t mix.

Yes, your honour survives a missing finger—but let’s try to avoid that conversation entirely.

🛠️ Silicone AME Ring

Built for the hangar, the field, and the daily grind, this ring is made from pure silicone (40A durometer)—designed to be soft, flexible, and durable. The same custom engraving is applied to this model, and select editions are infused with powdered metal from meaningful aircraft parts. It’s practical, purposeful, and safe.

From there on out, it’s all elastomeric—meaning it stretches, flexes, and if it ever gets caught, it’s designed to snap cleanly to protect your finger. It won’t stop your heart from skipping a beat, but it might save you from a tendon transplant.

Exclusively for Licensed AMEs

These rings are for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers only.

To order, you must upload a copy of your AME licence and photo ID. We verify your credentials manually, then delete the files—no data harvesting, no nonsense.

No licence. No ring.

Wear the Symbol of Aviation Excellence

Whether you wear the damascus ring as a statement of pride, or the elastomeric ring as a daily reminder of your craft, the AME Ring is a symbol of the trust you carry in your hands.

It’s not jewellery. It’s a legacy.

Forged in honour. Worn with purpose.

Flightline Forge.

The Creed Behind the Ring

Inside every AME Ring, you’ll find the words: “Upon My Honour.”

This isn’t just a motto—it’s the opening line of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s creed, a quiet oath we carry into every inspection, every sign-off, and every flight that takes off because we said it was safe.

That phrase represents more than pride—it’s a promise. A personal declaration that we’ve done the work, checked it twice, and signed our name with confidence and integrity.

The Reminder on Your Hand

Each elastomeric ring features a reversed imprint of your AME licence number and the words “Upon My Honour” inside the band. The idea is that after a day’s wear, the lettering may leave a faint impression on your skin—a fleeting, tactile reminder of the responsibility you bear.

In practice? Results vary. Some folks see it. Some don’t. We’re continuing to experiment with different materials and durometers to make that imprint more consistent. If we land on something better, you’ll be offered a complimentary upgrade—because your ring should reflect the standard you work to every day.
