Flightline Forge Damascus AME Ring
Forged with honour. Worn with pride.
Exclusively for Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers
This isn’t just a ring—it’s a personal marker of the commitment, responsibility, and pride that come with signing your name in a tech log.
The Flightline Forge Damascus AME Ring is made from Damascus-pattern stainless steel, hand-finished and uniquely patterned for every individual. It features a smooth wood inner band for comfort and a solid brass inlay that will develop a beautiful patina with time. Each ring is engraved with your AME licence number and the words “Upon My Honour”, because you’ve earned the right to wear those words.
Finger Placement & The AME Twist
Tradition says engineers wear their rings on the little finger of the dominant hand so it brushes against the page or the project, reminding them of the weight of their responsibility.
But if you’ve ever tried to torque a stubborn component inside a cramped airframe, you’ll know that’s not how we do things.
As AMEs, we wear it on the non-dominant pinky.
Why? Because your dominant hand is busy doing the work—signing the logbook, threading safety wire, and getting the job done. The non-dominant hand? That’s the one hanging on to the structure of the aircraft while you’re reaching for a fastener buried in a bulkhead. That’s where this ring goes. Still symbolic. Still present. Just out of the way.
But Don’t Wear It at Work. Seriously.
As meaningful as this ring is, do not wear it while working on aircraft.
It’s made of metal. And physics + biology + a high-load catch point = a bad day for your finger.
If you're looking for a ring that can stand up to day-to-day wear on the job, head over to the other page and check out our 40A durometer silicone AME rings. Same licence engraving, same creed, built for the hangar. Flexible. Safe. Field-tested.
Verification Required
We take pride in who this ring is for.
It’s made only for licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. At checkout, you’ll need to upload a copy of your AME licence and photo ID. These are reviewed by real people (AMEs, not algorithms) and promptly deleted after verification.
No licence, no ring. Period.
Key Features:
Material: Damascus-pattern stainless steel—tough, distinctive, and hand-finished.
Inner Band: Smooth natural wood—comfortable but not waterproof. Keep it dry.
Brass Inlay: Expect natural tarnishing; polish with Brasso or NeverDull to restore shine.
Custom Engraving: Your AME licence number + “Upon My Honour,” etched with pride.
Sizing: Measure the pinky finger of your non-dominant hand. For best results, get sized professionally—these are custom built and not easily resized.
This ring isn’t just something you wear. It’s something you carry—like your toolkit, your signature, and your name in the logbook.
Forged in honour. Worn with purpose.
